Klemens Katterbauer, an alumni in CTPL group, has been reported in University News as an Alumni Foucs. Klemens joined our group, under the together supervision of Prof. Shuyu Sun and Ibrhim Hoteit, and he got his Ph. D degree in 2015. During his period in our group, Klemens has been awarded the prestigious Henry DeWitt Smith Fellowship (one of the most prestigious fellowships worldwide in Petroleum and Mining Engineering) awarded by the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineering together with the Society of Petroleum Engineering in 2014. Meanwhile, he was President of the SPE KAUST Student Chapter (Outstanding Student Chapter of the year 2014).
